MAC Cosmetics releases new products each year to help raise money for their MAC AIDS Fund and create awareness in their costumers. 100% of the sales from this line go the organization. This year, Miley Cyrus has the honor of collaborating with MAC for this new Viva Glam line. The colors are FANTASTIC and I love that she’s helping a good cause while still being creative. Miley wanted to create colors that would suit almost every age and skin tone, so that both her young fans and any MAC lover would look good wearing them.
The new additions to the Viva Glam family are a lipstick and a gloss.

Lipstick
This is my favorite of the two. The color is simply stunninggg: a bright, medium-dark fuchsia. I just call it “hot pink”! It’s surprisingly extremely easy to wear, in comparison to other shades from the Viva Glam line. The formula is very moisturizing, and it also has a very good staying power (around 4 hours without touchups, while drinking liquids and using these tips). The consistency is very creamy and applies easily, but still has excellent staying power. It left a stain behind after it wears off. The only complaint I really have is that they didn’t release a lipliner! I still haven’t found one that matches the shade perfectly.
Lipglass
I don’t usually wear lipgloss, or a lot of glitter for that matter, but I still liked it. I tried it with and without the lipstick underneath, and while it still is very pigmented, it looks better and more subtle worn together. This color is more magenta than fuchsia, but goes very well together with the lipstick. It also looks great over other pink lipsticks.
Both the lipstick and lipglass will be available on May 1st in MAC Cosmetics stores in El Salvador inside Almacenes Siman.

Lipstick
Este es mi favorito de los dos. El color es simplemente hermoso: un fucsia semi-oscuro pero fuerte. Yo lo llamo “hot pink”! Es sorprendentemente tan fácil de usar, en comparación con otros tonos de la línea Viva Glam. Es una fórmula muy humectante, y también tiene muy buena duración (alrededor de 4 horas sin retocar, tomando líquidos y usando estos tips). La consistencia es muy cremosa, suave y se aplica fácilmente, mientras tiene buena duración. Deja un stain después de uso. La única queja que tengo es que no lanzaron un lipliner! Todavía no he encontrado uno que sea el match perfecto.
Lipglass
Usualmente no uso lipgloss, o glitter en sí, pero este me gustó. Lo probé solo y sobre el lipstick, y a pesar que tiene buena pigmentación, se ve mejor y más sutil cuando se usan los dos productos juntos. Este es un tono más magenta que fucsia, pero combina muy bien con el lipstick. También luce bien sobre otros lipsticks rosados.
